Kathleen Maggio started making clothes for herself at age nine. During high school, she sewed for clients and worked in childrenswear retail. After graduation from Moore College of Art and Design, she designed childrenswear and maternity professionally in the garment center in New York City.
From her retail days to the present, she has demonstrated skills ranging from window dressing to store display to display of student work.
When her daughter started kindergarten, she went back to school to teach fashion design courses at Mayer School (1985), Parsons School of Design (1987) and Pratt Institute (1991).
She earned her masters degree from Bank Street College of Education in Administration in the Visual Arts (1997). She was awarded a faculty development leave from Parsons to create this online publication related to her exhibit on Donald Brooks.
She is currently developing an illustrated instructional text book on pattern making, draping and construction. She teaches these topics to juniors in the BFA program at Parsons.

Tim Maggio has been involved with art and design from an early age. In high school, he won several art competition awards in various media. In college he became interested in photography and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati (1986).
In 1989, he moved to Finland to work with a computer-based architectural firm. There he gained experience using technology and writing software. Afterwards, he moved to New York City and became an accomplished software programmer before embarking on a photography and design career.
Today, he owns a business that integrates photography, technology, and design. He maintains his software industry contacts along with the photography and design, and is equally comfortable in each of these industries.
He travels widely, visiting Europe and Japan as well as touring the United States. He is beginning to venture into Central and South America. In his spare time he teaches at the university level.
